Maria's Family
Maria's parents are both native Cubans who emigrated to Miami in 1966. As such Maria has numerous cousins, second cousins, great aunts, etc, still living in Cuba. Many of Maria's relatives live in Baracoa and another town at the Eastern end of Cuba, Santiago.

Maria and I were able to spend a lot of time with her family, we were met graciously by all of them. We stayed with one of Maria's Aunties, but I have conveniently neglected to photograph both her and the fabulous Colonial-era house that we stayed at. One of Maria's relatives took us out to hear music one evening. |
