Animal Adoption Pages
Maria & I like to resuce animals in need and find new homes for them. So far we have rescued at least 4 rabbits and about 12 cats, taking these critters in, getting them healthy and socialized, and then finding a posh home in the suburbs to be adopted into. This has been a rewarding hobby, although sometimes it gets to feeling like a zoo around here. The latest animals we have for adoption are listed below. You can click on the picture to see more images and details. Please email Maria to arrange a visit.

Brother of Dorothy, will be ready for adoption June '05. Can you believe it, these guinea pigs are born with full fur and eyes open, ready for business!

Born to Gretchen on May 20! We love pigs!

Elijah came to us sometime in January, he had been living outside for quite some time. He was very wild and it took a long time to get close to him. Finally we managed to trap him and took Elijah to the Humane Society to be neutered and released as a feral. But it was so cold that week that we couldn't bear to put him back outside... Slowly he has crawled his way into our hearts, and he has become very well socialized. What a surprise! He was so wild at first. Now you can play with him, pick him up any way you like, slide him across the floor, anything. He loves to play and will usually come when called. He thinks he is King and would be a challenge in a multi-cat household. But he's a perfect solo cat, great combination of good manners, playfulness, and socialization. Elijah is neutered and has been checked for all the usual cat diseases.

Jezebel arrived at our house in early February. She had been living in our neighbor's basement, somehow she snuck in there without anyone noticing. She is a juvenile, probably less than a year old, and very well socialized. She is easy-going and friendly. So far she has been to the vet for FIV and LIV tests (both negative) and for antibiotics to clear up an infection. She is a good eater and is putting on weight quickly. Jezebel gets along with our other cats very well and would get along well in a multi-cat or single-cat household. Give her some love!
Our critters love vistors, even if you are not interested in adoption. Please send me an email if you would like to stop by for a visit.
